Our Mission Matters
Who We Are
The mission of the Health and Social Development Organization for Afghanistan (HSDOA) is to empower Afghan women, educate children, and support refugee families through health, education, and community development programs. We strive to create lasting positive change by improving access to healthcare, promoting equal opportunities, and strengthening communities in need.

Guiding Principles

Compassion
At the Health and Social Development Organization for Afghanistan (HSDOA), we believe that educating girls and protecting women’s rights is the key to building stronger, healthier communities. In Afghanistan, countless girls are denied the basic right to education due to cultural, economic, and social barriers. Without access to schools, literacy programs, and learning opportunities, many young girls are unable to reach their full potential — and generations of families are affected.
Our programs aim to break these barriers by providing scholarships, school supplies, uniforms, and tutoring so that every girl can attend school safely and confidently. We also run literacy and life skills programs to empower girls with the knowledge and tools they need to shape their own futures. Education is not just a right; it is a lifeline to opportunity, independence, and hope.
Proven Track Record
The Health and Social Development Organization for Afghanistan (HSDOA) brings over 20 years of humanitarian experience, beginning with work alongside the Canadian KPRT in Kandahar in 2007, and continuing through long-term collaboration with NISAY and several respected U.S. organizations to support communities in need.
